Privacy Policy
Effective 15 July 2026
harkster.ai is an informational website for Harkster Limited, an AI data consultancy for institutional investment firms. This policy explains what personal data the site touches, why, and what rights you have over it.
1. Who we are
Harkster Limited is the data controller for harkster.ai. Harkster Limited is a company registered in England and Wales under company number 14661786. Our registered office is 5 Providence Court, Pynes Hill, Exeter, United Kingdom, EX2 5JL.
2. What data we collect
This website collects only two categories of personal data:
- Data you volunteer by emailing us at hello@harkster.com or another @harkster.com address: your name and email address, your organisation if you give it, and the content of your message or any attachments.
- Standard server and hosting logs generated automatically when you visit any page: IP address, browser and device type, pages requested, and timestamps. These are used for site security and operation.
This site does not use cookies, analytics, or any other tracking technology. It has no forms, accounts, or logins.
3. How we use it
We use the data described above to respond to enquiries sent to us, and to operate and secure the website (server log data only). We do not add enquiries to a marketing list; if you would like to hear from us in future, you can tell us so directly.
4. Lawful basis
Our lawful basis for processing enquiry and log data is legitimate interests: responding to business enquiries and keeping our website secure and operating correctly. Where a conversation progresses toward a consulting engagement, the relevant basis for that correspondence may instead be the steps necessary to enter into, or perform, a contract.
5. Cookies
We do not use cookies or any other non-essential tracking technology on this website today. If that changes, we will update this policy first.
6. Third parties and processors
A small number of service providers process data on our behalf so that the website and our email can function: our website hosting provider processes server log data, and our email provider processes the content of messages sent to @harkster.com addresses. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
7. International transfers
Where any of the processors described above operate outside the United Kingdom, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data, consistent with UK GDPR requirements for international transfers.
8. Retention
Enquiry correspondence is kept in our mailbox for as long as reasonably needed for business record-keeping; we do not operate an automated deletion schedule for it. Server log data is retained only for our hosting provider's standard short-term operational period.
9. Your rights under UK GDPR
You have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data erased, in certain circumstances;
- restrict or object to our processing of your data, in certain circumstances; and
- receive your data in a portable format, where applicable.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@harkster.com.
10. Complaints
We would welcome the chance to address any concerns directly, so please contact us first. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113.
11. Children
This website is directed at institutional investment professionals and is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
